HULU SELANGOR: The carcasses of two dogs have been found in Sector B (farmview) at the Batang Kali landslide site, which marks the end of the search in that sector.

Hulu Selangor district police chief Supt Suffian Abdullah said the dogs are believed to be the pets of a man whose body was found on Wednesday (Dec 21) morning.

"The man's body was discovered hugging one of the dogs while the other dog's carcass was close by.

"The man is believed to have brought three dogs with him to Sector A (Hillview), according to the missing persons report, but the third dog has yet to be found," he said.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Hafisham Mohd Noor said the discovery would conclude search and rescue (SAR) operations in Sector B.

"The remains of the man and the dogs were found after digging 1.5m down in Sector B, which is a relatively small and shallow area.

"We believe the remaining dog's carcass was washed down to the lower Sector C (riverside).
